Al Gore and the UN climate control panel have won the Nobel Peace Prize. Do you think we should start taking them seriously?

Nah. They give Nobel Prizes out to just about anybody these days. In fact, I think I've got one somewhere in this suitcase of mine, I'm pretty sure.
